Save it for a rainy day

Yep, you guessed it. Today it rained, and oh boy did it. Starting in the early hours, the rain is still going strong (it’s late evening here now!).

Not letting this deter our enjoyable travels, we tackled the rain and visited Te Puia, a geothermal Mouri village. Learning about the Mouri way of life, aswell as the way the thermal activity works, we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience, it was all very intriguing.

Following our learnings, we took the one hour journey south, down to Lake Taupo. A place we’ll reside for the next two days, plenty to do here but no skydive for Sam in this weather, that’s for sure!

Time for some sleep to the sound of raindrops on our campervan! Let’s hope it clears up soon, but regardless, we’ll do plenty to make NZ as fun as viable.

For now.
